Questa pagina fornisce una lista non esaustiva di ciò che ha cessato di funzionare dopo che Mesa e GLX sono stati rimossi da gNewSense. Sono compresi tutti i programmi che richiedono un supporto alla grafica 3D o che utilizzano OpenGL per disegnare grafica 2D. Ciò significa che molti videogiochi e, per esempio, alcuni riproduttori multimediali e salvaschermi non sono più utilizzabili. Per trovare il pacchetto dal quale viene una cerca applicazioni, si usi il comando dpfg. Per esempio, per trovare il pacchetto che contiene glxinfo:
