After some updates (I don't remember wich ones) a bug occured in Thunderbird with Lightning extension. When I clicked on the Calendar icon, it would display a blank page instead of the calendar.
Here is what I did to solve the problem :
- In Thunderbird, click on Tools > Add-ons
- In the Extension tab, just disable Lightning (no need to uninstall it)
- Close Thunderbird
- Launch Thunderbird again and enable Lightning extension
Now it should display as usual.
Damn ! I can't edit my post.
Sorry for the bad spelling ("which ones") and the bad page setting.

A little update about this trouble.
Lately I had to install gNewSense on a new computer and I encountered the same problem (i.e. a blank page standing for the calendar after I installed back the Lightning extension in Thunderbird).
However, the solution I posted here a few months ago didn't work this time.
Fortunately, I could figure out what the poblem was. Indeed, the solution is given here in the Lightning system requirements page (Linux section of course) :
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightning/system-requirements.html
In my case, I just had to install the libstdc++5 package which was missing on my system. Then I applied the first solution I gave before (deactivating Lightning extension then reactivating it).
Now, Lightning 0.9 just works fine.
