Is there a way I can update my gNewSense without erasing any data on it already?
Would I have to go to manual in partition?

Please be more specific. Do you mean to update from 1.1 to 2.0?

Just for not loosing this issue in time. If you mean form 1.1 to 2.0. Yes there is a way to do (or maybe 2).
They both, need some high knowledge, that's why is a little bit difficult to accomplish.
Here remember that you need to be VERY CAREFUL if you don't want to make a mess out of your system.
