Hi everyone.
I really would like to install this distro on my new Ibm X31.
Right now I have Ubuntu which is pretty good but it has many proprietary softwares installed which I don't like.
I use this pc for school so basically it has to be fully working.
I will use wireless connection for internet browsing, emacs for taking notes and programming and other basical stuff.
Which is the situation right now? I mean what is not fully implemented in the 2.1 release?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon
Best wishes from Italy

Why don't you download gNewSense 2.1, boot up the live cd and let us know?
We really appreciate feedback about gNewSense running on new laptops.
There is nothing "not fully implemented" in our distribution. We only removed non free software from Ubuntu so it is possible that some hardware relying on proprietary drivers or firmware could not function at all.
I am italian too so if I can be of help, feel free to contact me:
