Can anyone tell me if the logo of gNewsense is copyright material?? What is its license???
Thanks.
As far as I know, it's under the GNU FDL (without invariant sections).

It says at the bottom of each page on the site "Content is licensed under the GFDL (without invariant sections)", so I'm almost certain that includes the logo, which means that'll be fine. I wouldn't expect whoever wrote it not to put it under a free (as in freedom) licence as it's for gNewSense. Either way, there's no need to delete it unless someone tells you to, which is very unlikely.

Speaking of the gNewSense logo, I have what is probably the dumbest question to ever appear in this forum. But never having the ability (or the smarts) to avoid asking these kind of questions, I have to ask.
What, exactly, is in the logo inside the blue circle in the upper left hand corner of this page? To me, it looks like a tree on an island. Or maybe it's a trio of burning incense sticks in the foreground of a rising sun. Or something else that has yet to occur to me.
I mean no offense to the designer -- actually, in my opinion, it's an appealing graphic. But I looked in the FAQ and couldn't find anything about what the logo represents.
I think it's the 'tree on an island.'
I thought i was supposed to be Zen. you know like a Bonsai Tree? I hope it's not an island. That's like saying we are cutting ourselves off from the rest of the world.

Somebody once said that if we look at the middle picture on the FSF site, we could see something according to this, not sure if it's related but seems tome like it is ;)
Later mates!
Choose freedom!

I think it's a tree with the sun in the background. Regardless of what it is, I like it. It took a while but it's grown on me. :-)
