I run gNewSense on a first generation Macbook Pro without any problems (webcam doesn't work though since it requires non-free firmware).

Just try the live CD, I think it willl work just fine.

I'm running gNewSense on MacBook SantaRosa. I need to try the wireless and the sound doesn't work (Alsa is recognising, but no sound)

Can you make a section on the wiki to help other mac users making the switch?

As you may know Macbook is DefectiveByDesign (I don't know if your model already has drm):

http://www.defectivebydesign.org/day01-macbook

but if someone already own them, at least they will put gNewSense on it. :)
