I am using irssi and I can connect to any other irc network except freenode. Freenode connects for a short time and then my router loses dns connectivity. I have the right ports open on my router for irc. It is a really strange problem, like a denial of service attack or something.

I have changed my nickname several times and the same problem occurs.

I tried using port 8001 and it works i think

Odd. This should not happen. What router are you using? And who is your provider (ISP)?

@Zaraki_Kenpachi: after some tests, i think this is not a irc/freenode issues for me, but my friggin ISP :(
